What we're putting in a stick
This is the formula we're finalizing with our manufacturer. The same mineral base goes in every flavor; only the fruit changes. Final amounts will be printed on every pack.
Planned ingredients: sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, potassium citrate, magnesium malate, acerola cherry extract, citric acid, natural flavor, stevia leaf extract. Açaí also contains beetroot powder.
The target is 800 mg sodium per stick, about 35% of the daily value. If you're watching sodium for medical reasons, check with your doctor first.

When can I buy it?

Why so much sodium?
Sodium is the main electrolyte you lose in sweat. Most sports drinks are built around sugar with a little salt as an afterthought. We're doing it the other way round.
Is it sweetened?
Barely. A trace of stevia leaf, enough to take the edge off the salt but not enough to taste like a soft drink. No sugar and no sugar alcohols.
Is there caffeine?
No. It isn't a pre-workout. It's meant for after sweating, long days outside, and hot weather.
Will it be tested?
Yes. We're only working with manufacturers who test every batch, and we plan to post those lab results so you can see them too.
Five flavors, all of them quiet
Most electrolyte mixes taste like candy because sugar hides the salt. We're leaving the sugar out and keeping the sweetness to a trace, so what you get is closer to water that's been somewhere than to a soft drink.
